Business Intelligence Analyst – Birmingham – Full Time – 5 Month Contract – £500-£600pd umbrella
We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Business Intelligence Professional in Birmingham to work under the Data Analytics Manager in an existing team.
This role will involve leading on the provision of high quality reporting and analytics processes and tools for the programme; and to exploit valuable information and data using the latest tools and techniques.
Your duties and responsibilities will include;
– Enabling the organisation to get maximum value from its information
– Monitoring emerging technologies for relevance and propose potential solutions in the areas of business intelligence, management reporting, data exploitation and data analytics
– Using data science and exploitation to drive intelligent decision making
– Championing the use of business intelligence across the organisation
– Decision making authority over how data analytics is introduced and developed in the organisation within specific projects including the approach taken and technologies used
To be suitable for this opportunity; you must have:
– Strong experience in data analytics
– Strong understanding of the role of data in business
– Good knowledge of data analytics approaches and tools
– Strong consulting skills (and stakeholder management)
– Knowledge or experience of using data science approaches to solve business problems
– Experience of using and implementing Business Intelligence (BI) tools and supporting technologies. Experience of Tableau, Alteryx and the Microsoft Data Platform are desirable
You will be able to:
– Independently validate external information from multiple sources
– Maintain an in depth knowledge of specific technical specialism’s, and provides expert advice
– Understand client requirements, collect data, deliver analysis and problem resolution
– Identify new and emerging hardware and software technologies
The rate for this position is £500 – £600pd umbrella.
This position is available full time Monday – Friday 36 hours a week.
This is initially a 5 month contract, but there is potential for extension.
