Business Intelligence Analyst – Bracknell – 3 Month Contract – £300 per Day (Inside IR35, Umbrella) – start date ASAP.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business Intelligence Analyst to support a transformation programme including children’s and adult’s social care services and core service functions. The transformation programme is launching several initiatives to reduce costs and improve services across the council.
Your duties and responsibilities will include;
* Dashboards and progress tracking – designing, building and implementing dashboards to support new and existing projects to visually track progress, manage performance and support operational decision making at all levels of the Council.
* Technical tools – designing and building tools to forecast and model service demand, financial implications based on changes and flow through a system.
* Analysis – ad-hoc analysis of data to develop our understanding of the issues and challenge areas.
To be suitable for this opportunity; the following qualifications or experience is required:
* Experience using PowerBI or similar to visualise data, and build dashboards to support performance management and operational decision-making.
* Experience implementing new processes or changes to existing processes such as operational meetings and individual workflows. Can evidence successful implementation.
* Working knowledge of SQL and / or using reporting software to extract data from SQL databases.
* An understanding of the data landscape of councils and an appreciation of the challenges and limitations.
* A clear, structured approach to solving problems using data, analysing and reaching conclusions
* Accomplished with Microsoft excel; has extensive experience using excel to analyse and visualise data, utilising all function aside from VBA.
* Personable; able to build and maintain relationships and manage expectations of various stakeholders across operations and support functions.
* Planning; works with their managers to clarify their objectives, and can develop and follow a logical plan to reach those objectives.
* Tenacious; can demonstrate that they are the sort of person that will do what they can to accelerate progress towards their objectives, and stick to their plan.
37 Hours per week.
