About the Role:

We are looking for a motivated Business Development Associate to join our team in Athens. This is a hands-on role designed for someone with a strong “can-do” attitude who thrives in dynamic environments. In this role, you will be at the forefront of building and maintaining business relationships, driving growth initiatives, and supporting the exploration of new opportunities for value creation.

At WeatherXM, you’ll be part of a pioneering team building the world’s largest community-powered weather network. You’ll work closely with a passionate group of people exploring how weather data and decentralized technologies can reshape industries and create new opportunities for value capture. This is a chance to grow your career while contributing to a mission with global impact.

Responsibilities

    • Client & Partner Engagement
      • Follow up with customers and ecosystem partners.
      • Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals.
      • Provide account management support and ensure client satisfaction.
    • Project & Initiative Execution
      • Act as a project manager on selected business initiatives.
      • Coordinate internally across departments to ensure timely execution.
      • Track progress and ensure accountability for ongoing projects.
    • Growth & Ventures Exploration
      • Participate in experiments around new business models and revenue streams.
      • Contribute to research and analysis of new markets and industries.
      • Support pilots and initiatives that aim to capture new forms of value for WeatherXM.

  • Background in business development, sales, or related roles — supported by relevant studies or professional experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Mindset over credentials: proactive, resourceful, and eager to learn.
  • A team player who can operate independently and take ownership of tasks.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills in English.
  • Flexibility and enthusiasm for working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.

Bonus points, if you have

  • Experience in agriculture, impact or energy sectors.
  • Previous involvement in a startup (founder, early team member, or business development role).
  • Familiarity with web3, decentralized networks, or DePIN ecosystems.
