Bank Support Practitioner - Female Driver Only

We’re expanding our Bank pool in Greenock and on the look out for compassionate and understanding *female colleagues to join us. As a Bank Support Practitioner, you have the flexibility to choose your shifts based on your availability, making it easier to balance work with your lifestyle. For this role it is essential that you hold a full UK, manual driving licence with a minimum of 1 years’ driving experience as some of the individuals we support have their own mobility cars. This is a Bank (as and when required) role, meaning shifts will be offered based on service needs. The Role As a Bank Support Practitioner, you’ll provide high-quality, person-centred care, ensuring continuity of support when colleagues are on leave or attending training. To build trusting relationships with the people we support, we ask that you ideally pick up 1-2 shifts per week. You’ll be working within our female only, trauma informed service supporting individuals who have autism and complex needs helping them with daily living tasks like meal prep and medication to attending appointments, enjoying activities and maintaining personal care. Along with practical support, you’ll also offer emotional support, help individuals build relationships and empower them to stay connected with family and friends. We’ll be looking to you to take an active interest in their hobbies, which can include going out for lunches and shopping to going bowling or to their favourite clubs. The list of interests is endless but the most important role you will play, is supporting individuals with their independence and being an active part of their local community. To be part of our team, we’ll need you to: Have an empathetic and caring nature. Good observation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Confidence in using computers. Be able to work well in a team environment and on your own. Good organisational skills. Shift Patterns Our dedicated friendly team provide 24/7 support which is tailored to the needs of each individual, so depending on shift length you may be supporting more than one individual but do not worry as we factor travel into your hours. Our shifts include earlies, days, lates and sleepovers, weekdays, weekends and public holidays.
