Bank Support Practitioner - Driver Only

As a Bank Support Practitioner, you have the flexibility to choose your shifts based on your availability, making it easier to balance work with your lifestyle. For this role it is essential that you hold a full UK, manual driving licence with a minimum of 1 years’ driving experience as some of the individuals we support have their own mobility cars. This is a Bank (as and when required) role, meaning shifts will be offered based on service needs. The Role As a Bank Support Practitioner, you’ll provide high-quality, person-centred care, ensuring continuity of support when colleagues are on leave or attending training. To build trusting relationships with the people we support, we ask that you ideally pick up 1-2 shifts per week. You’ll support individuals with disabilities and/or additional needs, helping them with everything from daily living tasks like meal prep and medication to attending appointments, enjoying activities, and maintaining personal care. Along with practical support, you’ll also offer emotional support, help individuals build relationships, and empower them to stay connected with family and friends. The people we support enjoy being active in their communities, from arts and crafts, bingo and shows at the Beacon to watching the football and exploring new places. We’ll be looking to you to take an active interest in their hobbies and enable individuals to explore new ones too. To be part of our team, we’ll need you to: Have an empathetic and caring nature. Good observation skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Confidence in using computers. Be able to work well in a team environment and on your own. Good organisational skills. Shift Patterns Our dedicated friendly team provide 24/7 support which is tailored to the needs of each individual, so depending on shift length you may be supporting more than one individual but do not worry as we factor travel into your hours. Our shifts include earlies, days, lates and sleepovers, weekdays, weekends and public holidays.
