Summary

The Associate Manager supports the General Manager in developing and executing strategic plans to drive store profitability and maintain brand standards. This role acts as a key decision maker in the GM's absence, focuses on operational excellence, talent development, and delivering an elevated customer experience aligned to brand expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Support the General Manager in analyzing business trends and planning store initiatives
  • Educate and coach the team on sales and profit performance tools
  • Create and maintain a consistent customer experience aligned to brand standards
  • Assist in client development strategies and lead community outreach activities
  • Execute talent strategy and participate in recruitment and networking
  • Provide ongoing coaching, feedback and learning opportunities to employees
  • Manage store operations including inventory control and shrink goals
  • Champion new selling technologies and omnichannel selling techniques
  • Ensure sales floor and store standards consistently exceed expectations

Requirements

  • College degree or equivalent is a plus
  • Retail management or similar high-volume specialty experience preferred
  • Proven track record building and maintaining positive customer and team relationships
  • Strong business acumen and planning and prioritization skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and store personnel
  • Ability to operate register, stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and occasional travel
