Overview
A busy family of six is seeking a fantastic part-time nanny in New Canaan, CT. The general schedule for this role is flexible, but they are seeking four days per week- three days will be approximately 1pm-7pm, and one day will be approximately 10am-4pm, for a total of ~24 hours per week There will be the opportunity for some later evenings or weekends if interested. The older children are 5, 6, and 7 years old, and the family is expecting a new baby in July. The family is seeking someone to work collaboratively with a stay at home mother to help care for the baby while she spends time with the older children, and vice versa. The start date is flexible- they are hoping to find someone to start in late June or early July.
Responsibilities
- Newborn care, including changing diapers, washing bottles, overseeing naps and bedtime, and facilitating developmentally appropriate activities throughout the day
- Assistance with older children including supervising meal, hygiene, and bedtime routines
- Child related laundry including bed linens
- Keeping children's rooms and areas tidy and organized
- Light meal prep (packing school lunch, preparing fruits/veggies, making baby food)
- Planning games, activities, and outings
- Transporting older children to and from extracurriculars
- Errands, including some grocery shopping, purchasing gifts, etc.
Qualifications
- Team player- willing to work with an involved stay at home mom
