About the Role
We are seeking an experienced principal photonics IC engineer to help us architect and develop our technology and product roadmap. The role will be responsible for developing the system architecture and core IP blocks needed to power our innovative photonic IC solutions. The successful candidate will have experience working in photonics industry, and will:
- Lead PIC development focused on telecom and datacom solutions.
- Develop and design PIC solution architectures, combining active InP with silicon designs leveraging our in-house technology platform.
- Define and support the execution of characterization and validation plans to ensure our products meet the highest performance and quality standards
- Work closely with our customers to understand their needs and requirements and ensure they are translated into winning products.
What we are looking for
- Exceptional knowledge of Photonic transceiver architectures (coherent, IMDD…)
- PhD in Integrated Photonics or closely related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of photonics manufacturing processes and capabilities
- 5+ years industrial photonics experience, combining photonics & RF design
- Demonstrable proficiency in defining photonics testing procedures
- Demonstrated experience in taking designs from R&D to volume production
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic and fast changing environment
