About the job
We need of seasonal employees to operate equipment including John Deere tractors (8000 R Series), sprayers, fertilizer spreaders, combines and other farm equipment to plant, spray and harvest cotton, corn and peanuts. Employees will need to complete routine repairs and maintenance on equipment, servicing equipment and repairing broken parts as necessary. Operate and maintain irrigation equipment. Employees will need to drive semi-trucks to transport the crops and fertilizer to local storage locations and gin. Per state regulations, employer is exempt from a commercial CDL requirement for farm trucking. No commercial or heavy truck driving is required. Employer may pay performance-based incentive bonuses at the end of the contract period at the employer's discretion. Employer may provide pay increases for longevity and experience.
