We are looking for a reliable and people‑oriented Customer Service Representative to support our clients with tax and accounting–related questions. You will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing friendly, professional assistance by phone, email, and chat, and making sure every client feels heard and supported throughout their tax or bookkeeping process.
Key responsibilities
- Respond promptly to inbound calls, emails, and messages from clients regarding tax preparation, bookkeeping, and general service questions
- Greet every client with a friendly, professional attitude and actively listen to understand their needs or concerns
- Provide clear, accurate information about our services, documentation requirements, appointments, and basic process steps
- Document client interactions, questions, and resolutions accurately in our system/CRM
- Follow up on open issues to ensure timely resolution and excellent customer experience
- Escalate complex tax or technical questions to the appropriate team member or supervisor when needed
- Maintain a working knowledge of our services, pricing, and policies to answer common questions
- Handle basic scheduling, reminders, and confirmations for client appointments
- Adhere to confidentiality and data‑privacy standards when handling client information
- Contribute to a positive, collaborative remote team environment
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in customer service, call center, reception, or client‑facing role preferred (tax or accounting industry is a plus but not required)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable speaking with a variety of clients
- Ability to stay calm, professional, and empathetic when handling client concerns or complaints
- Good typing skills and confidence working with computers, email, and basic office software
- Ability to follow scripts and guidelines while still sounding natural and personable
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy when recording information
- Reliable, self‑motivated, and comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision
- Willingness to learn basic terminology related to tax preparation and bookkeeping
- Good time‑management skills and ability to handle multiple client requests
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or education is a plus
