Archmere Academy, a private, Catholic college-preparatory co-ed high school north of Wilmington, DE seeks a dedicated individual to serve as a Technology Support Specialist. The ability to work closely with students, staff, and faculty is a key component of this position as is a high level of organization. Necessary training will be provided by the technology staff of Archmere. Job Responsibilities Provide Level 1 support for students, faculty, and staff. Manage the upkeep and distribution of loaner laptops Maintain a record of support requests. Distribute requests to tech staff as needed Maintain inventory records of hardware & software. Assist with AV setup for events (will require some evening & weekend time) Provide faculty tech support, such as Examsoft. Assist with provisioning laptops for new students, faculty, and staff. Provide support for New Student Orientation Programming including leading small group sessions. Job Skills and Qualifications A working knowledge of Mac OS X A willingness to learn the components associated with the management of a large number of devices. Strong communication skills both oral & written. The ability to work effectively in a one-on-one setting with members of the Archmere community with a variety of technical skills. The ability to work independently, take direction, and see tasks through to completion. A positive approach to work and a willingness to learn new things. Physical Demands This is an onsite position: 25 -30 hours/week Must be able to travel between 7 buildings on campus. The ability to safely & comfortably lift at least 30 lbs. Must be able to comfortably climb, bend, reach, kneel, stoop, & vision that allows for near and far work. Must be able to view & operate a computer for extended periods.
