You'll be part of a supportive and forward-thinking team, helping with a variety of tasks, including:
- Supporting the Tax Manager to meet deadlines for a wide range of tax filings, such as Trust and Estate Returns, Guernsey Company and Personal Returns, Quarterly ETI Returns, Distribution Returns, ATED Returns, BVI Substance Declarations, UK Corporation and Personal Tax Returns, IHT Returns, and Trust and ROE Registrations
- Reviewing Guernsey Assessments and ensuring payments are made on time to avoid surcharges
- Assisting with FATCA and CRS reporting to make sure submissions are completed ahead of deadlines
- Handling queries from the Trust team and managing incoming post efficiently
- Making sure tax payments are made on time, issuing reminders as needed to prevent penalties
- Helping bring capital gains records up to date to reduce risk
- Carrying out compliance reviews to ensure all tax obligations are met and CRS reporting is accurate
Requirements
- Good technical understanding of tax work and the ability to manage a variety of tasks
- A relevant tax or accounting qualification, or working towards one, while keeping up with CPD
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail in both written and verbal work
- Ability to spot and help resolve issues, with support where needed
- Self-motivated and organised, able to meet deadlines with guidance when required
- Able to work to agreed standards and service levels, with a good understanding of the wider impact of your work
