Who We Are
Vivvi is not your typical daycare or preschool! We’re reinventing child care and early learning for today’s families and creating opportunities for teachers and caregivers to do what they love (and feel valued while they’re doing it). Become a part of the Vivvi team as the Director of Acorn Academy's Summer Camp and oversee excellent care and enrichment for school-aged children, while pursuing your own professional growth and development. The Summer Camp Director is responsible for leading, developing and coordinating all aspects of this summer camp, including launch operations, team leadership, compliance, programming, health and safety practices, and facilities planning. The camp will take place on the Elon University campus during the weeks of August 11th and August 18th, Mon-Fri., 7:30am-6pm.
About The Role
As the Summer Camp Director, you'll:
- Develop, implement and oversee all aspects of a successful and high quality summer program for children ages 5-12
- Foster and promote Vivvi’s inclusive environment throughout all aspects of the camp
- Develop relationships and maintain ongoing communication with parents and families
- Hire, train, and supervise a team of camp counselors
- Create an environment that is safe, positive and inclusive
- Ensure adherence to the highest level of health and safety standards

- Possess a Bachelor's or graduate degree in education
- Enjoy working with school-aged learners, and see every child as infinitely capable
- Have 3-5 years experience in a similar role
- Value and create strong relationships with families, children, and faculty
- Possess excellent leadership skills including the ability to coach faculty and motivate staff towards success
- Have deep expertise in a progressive approach to education
- Are creative and adaptable
- Are already or are willing to be CPR and First Aid certified
