Position Overview:
As a Staff Accountant, you will manage essential accounting functions, assist in financial reporting, and contribute to the overall health of our financial records. You’ll play a key role in the monthly closing process, financial data management, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
- Assist in the monthly close process by preparing and reviewing account reconciliations.
- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions as needed.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal financial policies.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency in accounting operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in an accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and experience with financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Effective communication skills and a commitment to integrity.
