All Teacher Assistants (Paraprofessionals) are required to meet one of the following qualifications.
- Have completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education defined as completion of 48 semester hours of college coursework; or
- Have obtained an associate's degree (or higher); or
- Have taken and passed the Parapro Test, or the WorkKeys Test or the Oklahoma General Education Test.
The Parapro Test is offered at Meridian Technology Center, 1312 South Sangre Road, Stillwater, OK 74074, 405-377-3333, extension 249, or at Educational Testing Services, available at www.ets.org.
