Seven Resourcing are seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Assessment & Child Protection Team in Swindon. This is a full-time, temporary role offering £42 per hour.

In this role, you will manage a caseload of children and families, carrying out assessments, implementing care plans, and taking appropriate action to safeguard children at risk. You will work closely with partner agencies to ensure that children receive the right support at the right time.

Key Responsibilities of the Social Worker:

  • Undertake assessments of children in need and those at risk of significant harm.

  • Develop and implement child protection and care plans in line with statutory requirements.

  • Work collaboratively with families, partner agencies, and other professionals to promote positive outcomes for children.

  • Prepare and present reports for child protection conferences, reviews, and court proceedings.

  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate case records in accordance with legislation and local procedures.

  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and training to ensure best practice is maintained.

Applicant Requirements of the Social Worker:

  • Qualified Social Worker (BA/MA/BSc/MSc in Social Work, CQSW, or DipSW).

  • Registration with Social Work England.

  • Proven post-qualified experience within an Assessment and Child Protection team.

  • Sound understanding of safeguarding legislation, policies, and procedures.

  • Excellent communication, assessment, and report-writing skills.

  • Enhanced DBS check.

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
