Position: Senior Software Engineer – Integrated Diagnostic Solutions
Location: Limerick
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on developing a cutting-edge middleware platform that connects medical devices with hospital systems. The platform supports advanced diagnostic capabilities and integrates seamlessly with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS). Working in an Agile environment, the successful candidate will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, and maintenance, using technologies such as C#, ASP.NET Core, Angular, and SQL Server.
This is a hands-on technical role that requires collaboration with geographically distributed teams, strong communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. The ideal candidate is passionate about healthcare technology, continuous improvement, and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Product Owners and project partners to define requirements, estimate tasks, and plan project timelines.
Actively participate in coding and development tasks, leading by example in writing clean, efficient, and maintainable code.
Address complex technical challenges and resolve issues, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Maintain detailed technical documentation, including architectural designs, API documentation, and deployment procedures.
Stay current with emerging software development trends and technologies, sharing knowledge with the team and adopting new methodologies as appropriate.
Communicate effectively with non-technical stakeholders, translating complex technical concepts into clear, understandable terms.
Provide regular updates on project progress, technical issues, and risk mitigation strategies.
Required Qualifications:
5–7+ years of experience with C# and .NET Framework.
Strong expertise in JavaScript frameworks, with confirmed experience in Angular.
Proficiency with Entity Framework, XML querying, T-SQL, and Microsoft SQL Server.
Experience with Typescript, RxJS, HTML, LESS/CSS, Node.js, and .NET Core.
Experience in writing unit and integration tests, following test-driven development practices.
Familiarity with source control systems such as Git and Azure DevOps.
Proven experience with SOA and RESTful architectures.
Ability to perform and support deployment across multi-layered environments and teams across multiple locations.
Excellent interpersonal, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with Agile and SAFe methodologies is a plus.
