We are looking for a data-driven individual with deep experience in marketing-centric data modeling and optimization. As a Senior Data Scientist on the Marketing Science team, you will play a critical role in informing marketing strategy and decision-making by applying sophisticated analytics and machine learning techniques. The ideal candidate will be an intellectually curious, extremely self-driven individual with a proven track record of leading analytics for critical business areas and a passion for operationalizing data-driven insights.
Responsibilities
- Develop media mix models to measure the incremental impact of marketing campaigns, web tests, and structural changes.
- Lead MMM model data collection, management, and variable definition.
- Develop and implement a systematic approach to structure, extract, analyze, and deploy insights, leveraging GenAI models and Large Language Models (LLMs) to optimize marketing campaigns and customer experiences.
- Communicate results and share actionable insights clearly, concisely, and confidently to the broad team and leadership.
- Provide recommendations to business leaders and stakeholders on the best way to utilize available data for various business opportunities.
- Effectively respond to unexpected plan changes and prioritize for the best outcomes, fostering a culture of high-quality output and a growth mindset.
Qualifications
- MS/PhD in a quantitative field such as Business, Math, Statistics, Finance, Economics, or a related field with 3+ years of experience in an analytics role.
- Hands-on experience in machine learning, GenAI, and model productionalization.
- Proficient in one or more analytics tools such as Python and R.
- Efficient in SQL, Hive, SparkSQL, PySpark, etc.
- Deep understanding of statistical modeling and marketing measurement, with a track record of solving problems using these methods.
- Has built out media mix models that informed budget allocation.
- Confident with machine learning techniques and sophisticated analytics (e.g., regression, classification, clustering, time series, econometrics, mathematical optimization).
- Ability to transform data and insights into compelling stories, educating and influencing stakeholders to inspire action.
- Excellent communication skills, ability to learn fast, and confidence in taking ownership.
