We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our product DE team and reporting to a Sr Data engineering manager. To help our teams work together, you will be fully remote, but requires you to be located in Pacific timezone.

You will build top-notch data solutions and data architecture to inform our most critical strategic and real-time decisions. You will also help translate business needs into data requirements and identify efficiency opportunities.

In this role, you will:

• Partner across engineering teams to tackle company-wide initiatives

• Mentor junior members of the team

• Partner with leadership, engineers, program managers and data scientists to understand data needs

• Apply expertise and build scalable data solution

• Develop and launch efficient & reliable data pipelines to move and transform data (both large and small amounts)

• Intelligently design data models for storage and retrieval

• Deploy data quality checks to ensure high quality of data

• Ownership of the end-to-end data engineering component of the solution

• Support on-call shift as needed to support the team

• Design and develop new systems in partnership with software engineers to enable quick and easy consumption of data

Compensation

At Atlassian, we strive to design equitable, explainable, and competitive compensation programs. To support this goal, the baseline of our range is higher than that of the typical market range, but in turn we expect to hire most candidates near this baseline. Base pay within the range is ultimately determined by a candidate's skills, expertise, or experience. In the United States, we have three geographic pay zones. For this role, our current base pay ranges for new hires in each zone are:

Zone A: $163,400 - $217,800

Zone B: $147,000 - $196,000

Zone C: $135,600 - $180,800

This role may also be eligible for benefits, bonuses, commissions, and equity.
