About the job

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the export & import shipments.
  • Checked import and export documentation to determine cargo contents and classified goods into different tariff.
  • Strategically develop the compan's services and improve the price level to become always among the strong competitive forwarders.
  • Negotiate and prepare contracts & tenders.
  • Handling door-to-door shipments.
  • Assist customers with requests, complaints, tracking, and tracing of their shipments.
  • Checked files to include master and house bills of lading with shipper and consignee documents.
  • Provide FCL/LCL/sea freight rate quotes to clients.
  • Handling customs clearance.
  • Responsible for all documentation related to shipping legally and flexibly.
  • Arrange the operation reporting.
  • Managed logistics operations to meet customer expectations and financial standards and policies.
  • Directed day-to-day operations focused on attainment of key business metrics, continuous improvement initiatives
  • Worked in matrix management environment with oversight of division level managers, operations, sales, finance.
  • Developed and implemented daily operations plans such as delivery routes, employee assignments and promotional strategies.
  • Built relationships with customers and managed accounts to drive revenue and profit.
  • Corporate with the sales team.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with export operations, such as delays, damages, or compliance discrepancies, to safeguard smooth and secure transactions.
  • Team Leadership: Provide guidance, assistance, and mentorship to junior export operations personnel, nurturing a collaborative and high-performing work culture.

Qualifications: 

  • A Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, International Trade, Logistics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in freight forwarding Import & Export operations preferably in a senior role.
  • Excellent command of English (writing & speaking).
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
