Sales Associate - Automotive

Shipton's Big R is a Farm/Ranch retail company that has been in business 74 years and counting! We are seeking a Part Time and Full TimeAutomotive Associate for our Lewistown, MT store.

• Customer Service – Must greet every customer that you come in contact with. Responsible for answering customer questions regarding Automotive products or finding another associate who can answer them. Must be willing and able to carry the customers merchandise to their vehicle.
• Product Knowledge – Continually make an effort to gain automotive product knowledge on a daily basis by accessing product manuals and LMS internet website.
• Salesmanship – Start with customer service as defined above and include upsell and ad-on sales techniques.
• Cleaning – Shared Responsibility for cleanliness of your department including dusting and facing product.
• Merchandising – Responsible for product presentation, stocking, scanner tagging, and signage.
• Signage – Make display signs by following Shipton’s Big R sign program.
• All other duties as assigned
• Minimum Requirements
• Must have the ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers through normal social skills.
• Must be able to read and interpret basic information.
• Must have basic math skills.
• Must be able to bend, stoop, reach, lift up to 50 pounds and stand for an extended period of time.
• Must be able to work with and around the products we carry including feed, seed, poultry (chickens, ducks, geese and the like) or small animals.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be able to work any store hours/days as dictated by their manager.
• Computer skills with the ability to search the internet.
• Ability to understand written and oral instructions.
