Job Description

Join our Controls team in Consumer & Community Banking (CCB), the firm's largest Line of Business. This role offers the opportunity to develop and enhance our control framework, contributing to our continuous approach to risk assessment. You'll be part of a dynamic team which supports CCB in serving millions of consumers and small businesses, with the potential for career growth and skill development in a market-leading company.

As a Control Manager Vice President within our Chase Branded and CoBrand Credit Card Controls team, you will you will be responsible for providing sound governance of and overseeing the control environment for a portion of the Chase Branded and CoBrand Credit Card Business. Your role will also involve assisting in top-down risk analysis, real-time control issue detection, escalation, root cause analysis, and remediation.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols
  • Leverage data and analytics to inform new controls strategies and support business needs
  • Review, challenge and test existing controls and maintains risk and control documentation
  • Collaborate with and advise various credit card business General Managers and their team on inherent risks and issue identification (e.g. issues and action plans tracking and recording in Control and Operational Risk Evaluation (CORE))
  • Produce ad hoc materials which provide clear insight and analysis into the current operational, regulatory risk issues and trends relevant to the credit card business.
  • Develop and enhance the existing governance around the business including new policies and procedures, process enhancement and building and maintaining a robust and flexible governance framework in partnership with the central control management team.
  • Create a proactive risk and control culture that leverages proven evaluation strategies and sound change management protocols
  • Engage with control colleagues across the firm, business, operations management, legal, compliance, risk, audit, regulators and technology control functions

Required qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Minimum 7 years of financial service experience in controls, audit, quality assurance, risk management, or compliance
  • Proficient knowledge of control and risk management concepts with the ability to design, create, and evaluate a Risk & Control Self-Assessment in conjunction with business partners
  • Proficient in analytics and strategy development
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Extensive knowledge of Credit Card marketing or operations
