Minimum Requirements:
  • Matric
  • 5 years sales management experience
  • Experience in the retail and industrial industry
  • Must be vibrant and energetic
  • Must be willing to travel
  • Valid drivers license

Key Responsibilities:
  • Achieve 100% of sales targets
  • Attain 100% of gross profit rand targets by ensuring the required retail GP margin
  • Drive turnover growth with existing customers
  • Increase revenue from newly acquired customers
  • Expand sales through the introduction of new products
  • Ensure new products contribute at least 8% to total turnover
  • Optimize the frequency and cost-efficiency of sales representatives’ call cycles
  • Implement and manage a structured sales process to ensure high-quality customer engagement
  • Monitor the utilization of training tools provided to sales reps
  • Track customer segmentation to prioritize high-value versus lower-priority customers
  • Increase adoption and usage of the Rapid Trade platform
  • Resolve customer complaints and queries promptly and effectively
  • Monitor and ensure timely turnaround of customer returns and repairs, escalating when necessary
  • Manage staffing levels within agreed budget constraints
  • Achieve Employment Equity targets
  • Maintain effective leave planning and proactively manage absenteeism
  • Facilitate relevant training and development programs
  • Conduct performance reviews, agree on ratings, and set future performance goals
  • Provide regular, constructive feedback and coaching to employees
  • Enforce disciplinary action when necessary
  • Develop in-depth expertise in the full product range
  • Set and manage customer expectations regarding stock availability and delivery timelines
