Job Description Summary
The Provider Contract Manager participates in and may lead less complex contract administration initiatives for creating and managing contract templates used across the enterprise. Ensures consistency and compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements as well as to maximize operational efficiency and provider relationships. Serves as subject matter expert for contract language, developing contract language tools and solutions for the provider contracting staff.
How will you make an impact & Requirements
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
Creates common contract templates and language variations for provider groups.
Works closely with Legal and provider contracting management to ensure that contracts meet all federal, state and regulatory requirements as well as operational efficiencies and other high value business needs.
Leads the development of optimal language changes and use of alternative or exception language approved for specific uses.
Serves as subject matter expert around contract language in response to RFPs, audits, and legal clarifications.
Makes recommendations to contract modifications and presents to governing committee for approval.
Works with contract negotiators to identify best practice solutions to contract needs and helps educate contract negotiators on contract language impacts.
Serves as a key contributor in the development and implementation of enterprise contract management/administration strategies, processes and systems.
Leads reviews to ensure that contract terms and language can be implemented efficiently. Researches and quantifies impact to contract modifications.
Develops and maintains tracking software.
Knowledge of the Arizona markets (Pima & Maricopa county) is a plus.
Knowledge of the Nevada market (Clark County) is a plus.
Requirements:
Requires a BS/BA degree in related field
Minimum of 5 years business and professional experience in contracting, provider relations, and provider servicing; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.
Masters degree strongly preferred.
Compensation: $97,060K - $121,325K & bonus eligible
