The Reality Labs Quality team is seeking a Product Quality Engineer, Sustaining to manage Quality for high volume consumer electronics products. In this high visibility role, you will play a critical role in driving ongoing Quality improvements to RL Devices, including Meta Ray-Ban Displays, Oakley Metas, and Meta Quest Virtual Reality headsets. You will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of Quality from launch to end of life. You will have an engineering background and leverage their analytical and technical problem solving skills to identify, root cause, and resolve hardware failures. You will be highly detail oriented with ability to communication and influence a broad technical audience, including leadership. Some international travel will be required.
Product Quality Engineer Responsibilities
- Understand, analyze, and resolve Field Quality issues
- Collaborate with relevant internal (mechanical, electrical, quality, software engineering teams) and external (vendors) stakeholders to drive Quality improvements
- Update and refine Product Quality plans (PQP) and ensure implementation with the manufacturing partners
- Provide customer risk assessment and be the Voice-of-Customer in key internal product decision meetings and influence outcomes to improve Customer Experience and reduce failures
- Define and owning Sustaining Quality KPIs and metrics
- Provide inputs to the design and process teams to improve design quality and production yield of current and future products
Minimum Qualifications
- Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta
- BS in Engineering
- 1+ years of experience in a technical problem solving role
- Ability to travel as required
