Product Manager
About the job
• Build and scale Papaya’s payments network and infrastructure at a global level, including defining strategy, roadmap, and execution of payment products.
• Oversee integrations with banks, PSPs, and alternative payment providers, ensuring resilience, monitoring, and optimization of end-to-end payments stack.
• Manage product lifecycle from ideation and requirements gathering to development, launch, and continuous iteration.
• Work cross-functionally with engineering, compliance, treasury, operations, design, and commercial teams, and engage with external institutions.
• Engage directly with customers to understand needs, validate product direction, and prioritize features.
• Use analytics, KPIs, and user research to evaluate performance and inform prioritization.
• Partner with marketing, sales, and customer success for go-to-market readiness, adoption, and client satisfaction.
• Stay ahead of industry trends in fintech, HR tech, and SaaS to drive innovation and thought leadership.
Requirements
- 5+ years in product management, with at least 3 years focused on global payments, payment networks, or financial insfrastructure.
- Proven success in building and scaling products within fintech, payments, or HR/payroll technology.
- Technical fluency: Ability to work closely with engineers; comfortable discussing APIs, integrations, data flows, and system architecture.
- Customer-first mindset: Strong ability to translate customer problems into scalable product solutions.
- Deep familiarity with agile practices, scrum ceremonies, and iterative product development.
- Strong understanding of business models, pricing, and the intersection between product design and revenue growth.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to inspire internal teams and present confidently to stakeholders.
- Nice to have: Prior work with payroll technology, mass payout providers, card issuing, or embedded financial platforms.
