About the job
• Define and evolve Papaya’s global payments vision, strategy, and roadmap
• Build and scale Papaya’s payments network and infrastructure at a global level
• Oversee integrations with banks, PSPs, and alternative payment providers
• Ensure resilience, monitoring, and optimization for the end-to-end payments stack
• Manage product lifecycle from ideation and requirements gathering to development and launch
• Lead cross-functional work with engineering, design, operations, compliance, and sales
• Engage directly with customers to validate product direction and prioritize features
• Use analytics, KPIs, and user research to inform decisions and measure performance
• Partner with marketing, sales, and customer success for go-to-market readiness and adoption
• Stay ahead of fintech, HR tech, and SaaS industry trends and drive innovation
Requirements
- 5+ years in product management
- At least 3 years focused on global payments, payment networks, or financial infrastructure
- Proven success building and scaling products within fintech, payments, or HR/payroll technology
- Technical fluency with APIs, integrations, data flows, and system architecture
- Customer-first mindset; ability to translate customer problems into scalable product solutions
- Deep familiarity with agile practices, scrum ceremonies, and iterative product development
- Strong commercial acumen and understanding of business models and pricing
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; stakeholder presentation
- Comfortable working cross-functionally with engineering, compliance, treasury, and commercial teams
- Experience engaging with banks, PSPs, and alternative payment providers
- Nice to have: prior work with payroll technology, mass payout providers, card issuing, or embedded financial platforms
