Minimum Requirements
- Advanced Certificate or Diploma in Procurement/Supply Chain/Operations
- Five years’ management experience in procurement
- Knowledge of supply chain management
- Analyse technical data in supplier proposals
- Knowledge of the manufacturing industry and trends
- Project management & basic accounting knowledge
- Extensive knowledge of basic business principles
- Proficient on MS Office Suite
- Develop and implement purchasing policy and strategy to maximise savings and benefits
- Manage and negotiate annual increases proposed by Suppliers, ensuring that the proposed increase is market related
- Draft and implement SLAs and Company policies & procedures
- Maintain Supplier contracts
- Work closely with upper management
- Manage Vendor credit applications
- Evaluate and monitor Suppliers as per ISO requirements
- Monitor inventory levels
- Manage monthly stock orders
- Compile weekly import reports
- Develop strategic plans to address delayed deliveries/shipments and material supply issues
- Apply and manage import permits
- Manage rebate stock levels
- Calculate landed cost on imports
- Liaise with Finance regarding forex issues and import requirements
