We’re looking for a PR/Communications Specialist — a communications professional who thrives on getting stories published, not just pitched.
You will be the unstoppable engine connecting CloudWalk’s stories to top-tier media. You’ll create news hooks daily, push every pitch until it lands in the right outlet, and operate at the intersection of PR, media relations, and narrative strategy.You’re the one who never lets stories die in inboxes.
What You’ll Bring
- Fluent English & Portuguese (written and spoken) with strong storytelling and writing skills in both languages.
- Deep expertise – 7+ years of experience in PR, media relations, journalism, or communications — preferably in tech or fintech.
- Proven track record of securing placements in top-tier outlets in top-tier global and Brazilian outlets
- Active network of tech / fintech / payments journalists in Brazil and the U.S.
- Highly tenacious and results-driven, with resilience to push when things stall.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure startup environment.
- Strong news instinct — the ability to spot story angles even in complex or technical topics.
- Excellent communication, persuasion, and relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to travel occasionally between Brazil and the U.S.
What You’ll Do
- Act as the main driver of pitch follow-up — ensuring that internal or agency pitches turn into coverage.
- Generate fresh story angles and hooks daily (newsjacking, data drops, product or tech insights).
- Build and strengthen relationships with key journalists in tech, fintech, AI, and payments across Brazil and the U.S.
- Facilitate journalist access to executives (CEO, CTO), coordinating interviews, off-the-record briefings, and exclusives.
- Rapidly produce pitch notes, bullet points, Q&A docs, and media-ready responses under pressure.
- Support PR planning around reports, product releases, and content assets — with the explicit goal of generating press coverage.
- Monitor industry and competitor media moves, identifying opportunities to attack or defend narrative space.
- Track coverage results — ensuring proper credits, reposts, and follow-ups for every story.
- Be on standby for crisis communications: draft quick statements, coordinate with agencies, and manage timelines.
- Act as an on-the-ground fixer for events in Brazil or the U.S., arranging meetups, dinners, and journalist interactions.
