Job Summary:
The Research Center for Operator Algebras at East China Normal University, located at Science Building A, 3663 Zhongshan North Road, Shanghai, China, is seeking applications for postdoctoral investigators.
The position is initially for a fixed two year term with possible extension for one more year. Postdoctoral fellows are expected to participate in the Center's activities, including attending seminars and giving presentations on research topics of interests.
Applications will be welcome until the positions are filled.
Qualifications:
To be eligible for the position, young research candidates must have a recently (less than 5 years) awarded or to be awarded Ph.D degree in mathematics. The applicant is expected to have a strong research record in at least one of the following related areas:
- Functional Analysis
- Operator Algebras
- C*-algebras
Although these are the main areas of interest, all candidates with strong qualifications in related fields of research are encouraged to apply and will be carefully considered.
Salaries and benefits:
Salaries and benefits are negotiable and highly competitive (up to RMB300,000, based on eligibility and funding availability).
