Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provides expertise in production engineering disciplines.
  • Applies principles and practices typically associated with quality engineering, industrial engineering, and manufacturing engineering functions and coordinates with other support disciplines or core functions as required.
  • Develops quality and cost-effective methods, standards, and systems for production by applying production engineering principles.
  • Leads and participates in long-range technical research on proposed projects. Provides guidance to less experienced manufacturing support staff.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • 5-9 years in manufacturing, continuous improvement, and support —or a Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of direct experience in a similar role
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • High level of understanding of complex machining processes
  • Familiarity with the RCCA process and process improvements
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement methodologies
  • Strong listening skills and a proactive approach to learning
  • Ability to collaborate across functions
  • Comfortable with basic computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, and navigation through 3-D engineering models)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred not required with industry experience
  • SAP experience is a plus; SAP is utilized daily
  • Manufacturing/shop floor experience
  • Lean and Six Sigma experience
