Responsibilities
Key Accountabilities:
- Provides expertise in production engineering disciplines.
- Applies principles and practices typically associated with quality engineering, industrial engineering, and manufacturing engineering functions and coordinates with other support disciplines or core functions as required.
- Develops quality and cost-effective methods, standards, and systems for production by applying production engineering principles.
- Leads and participates in long-range technical research on proposed projects. Provides guidance to less experienced manufacturing support staff.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- 5-9 years in manufacturing, continuous improvement, and support —or a Bachelor's degree plus 6 years of direct experience in a similar role
- High School Diploma or GED
- High level of understanding of complex machining processes
- Familiarity with the RCCA process and process improvements
- Experience in Continuous Improvement methodologies
- Strong listening skills and a proactive approach to learning
- Ability to collaborate across functions
- Comfortable with basic computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, and navigation through 3-D engineering models)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred not required with industry experience
- SAP experience is a plus; SAP is utilized daily
- Manufacturing/shop floor experience
- Lean and Six Sigma experience
