Media and Marketing Communications Officer – 3-month contract Oxford – £23.77p/h (umbrella)
We are working with a large organisation, they are looking for a strategy Communications Officer based in Oxford. Paying £23.77 p/h through umbrella as its inside IR35.
Purpose:
To work collaboratively and in support of communications and engagement team colleagues in the development, delivery and evaluation of:
The County Council’s communications strategy
The communications forward plan
Development and defence of the corporate brand
The guardianship and development of the County Councils reputation
Responsibilities:
Taking responsibility for presenting a positive public profile for one or more of the council’s directorates
Promote and protect the reputation of Oxfordshire County Council through the local, regional, national and trade media
Media management through reactive and proactive news functions, including planning and delivery of positive coverage in all media
Experience/qualification:
Education to degree level or equivalent in another qualification or at least two years relevant professional experience
At least two years’ experience of working with/within the media
Handling media inquiries for a designated part of the council
Advice to senior officers/councillors on media handling/PR
