Your Role
The role of the Manufacturing Process Engineer reports to the Quality Director. The role will be focused on the manufacturing process and is tasked with improving process performance for both yield and throughput. In this role you will work with Engineering, Quality, Equipment and Manufacturing teams on new product introductions as well as existing products.
Your Responsibilities
- Develop and improve manufacturing processes with a focus yield and throughput
- Define and lead experiments or qualifications as required to validate process improvements.
- Statistically analyze production data using Excel or similar to generate reports and proposals designed to improve production yield/throughput.
- Regularly support new product/process qualifications by leading trials, testing, and reporting activities.
- When issues are observed in the process, conduct root cause analysis, define corrections and implement revised processes with appropriate documentation and training.
- Work with Development Engineering during the introduction of New Products to learn new manufacturing process methods and fixtures.Then validate these new processes into the Production phase of the program.
- Participate in various special projects that support the operations and engineering teams.
Skills/Qualifications
- Education in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Industrial Engineering is preferred
- 4+ years of experience as a manufacturing engineer in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Experience in Development and New Product Introduction is preferred
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
- Experience authoring, executing, and reporting on trials to improve yield & throughput
- Experience working with database systems in order to extract, format, analyze and report out conclusions/recommendations
Pay Range: $95,000 - $115,000
*Base salary only. Salary is dependent on multiple factors including, but not limited to, experience and location.
