Our client is looking for a Maintenance / Facilities Team Leader to join their team in the Havant area on a permanent basis.
The main accountabilities
To implement and manage current HSE legislation including certification, monitoring and inspection in areas of responsibility.
To maintain the building security of all the companies facilities.
To safeguard the availability of facilities, equipment and machinery to maximise productivity of the business.
Responsible for improving and maintaining the availability of all machinery, plant and infrastructure at all the companies facilities through a programme of Preventative Maintenance, and the development and implementation of activities and projects to increase ” Mean Time Between Failures” and reduce “Mean Time To Repair”.
To safely delivery projects relating to facilities to schedule, cost and agreed requirements.
Key Responsibilities –
Responsible for the safe and effective day to day maintenance activities at all sites (UK) facilities.
Responsible for the availability of all machinery, plant and infrastructure at all sites (UK) facilities through a programme of Preventative Maintenance.
Responsible for maintaining, improving and reporting of an appropriate suite of industrial recognised ‘Key Performance Indicators’
Responsible for the quality and accuracy of all service and maintenance records including the Maintenance/Facilities SAP Modules.
To provide hands on advice on Electrical/Mechanical/Hydraulic and Pneumatic plant and machinery breakdowns/faults.
Line management responsibility for the maintenance team including day to day monitoring of performance, development, training and succession planning.
Develop and manage the network of subcontractors and suppliers to ensure value, safety and reliability is high.
Reconciliation and approval of invoices.
Day to Day liaison and communication with other departments.
Project manage and safely deliver CAPEX and improvement projects to agreed scope, schedule and budget.
Attendance at safety committee meetings and proactive in identifying and managing controls to safety issues.
Support all external audits relating to the business e.g. Emission and Discharge Permits, Environment Agency, Landlord and third party.
Experience:
Minimum 10 years’ experience in a maintenance / facilities management environment.
Minimum 3 years’ experience in managing a maintenance / facilities environment.
Experienced in preventative (and reactive) maintenance of manual and CNC machining centres is a distinct advantage.
Hands on experience of Hydraulics /Pneumatics /Electrics /Mechanical is advantageous.
Proven experience of managing and delivering large Capex and Improvement Projects.
