What you will be doing
- Delivering adaptive reading workshops that develop foundational skills in phonics, comprehension, and fluency
- Designing personalized motivational sessions that connects with kids and cultivates lifelong love of reading
- Analyzing student progress data to continuously refine your approach and surface actionable insights
- Collaborating with the tech team to evaluate and enhance AI literacy tools
Reading Specialist II key responsibilities
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of experience delivering small-group reading interventions to early elementary students
- Skilled at assessing reading levels, grouping students, and designing differentiated instruction without pre-written curricula
- Proficient with AI/adaptive learning tools and responsive to student behaviors within them
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Willingness to work on-site at one of our campuses: Lake Forest (Orange County), CA; San Francisco, CA; Miami, FL; or New York City, NY
