What you will be doing
- Delivering adaptive reading workshops building phonics, comprehension, and fluency skills
- Designing personalized motivational sessions using gamified literacy milestones
- Analyzing student progress data to refine instruction and surface actionable insights
- Collaborating with engineers to evaluate and enhance AI literacy tools based on classroom results
- Developing scalable, AI-enhanced content that enables early elementary students to achieve grade-level proficiency
Reading Specialist key responsibilities
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with advanced certification in reading instruction (e.g., Orton-Gillingham, Wilson, or equivalent)
- At least 2 years of experience delivering small-group reading interventions to early elementary students
- Skilled at assessing reading levels, grouping students, and designing differentiated instruction without pre-written curricula
- Proficient with AI/adaptive learning tools and responsive to student behaviors within them
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Willingness to work on-site at one of our campuses: Austin, TX; Fort Worth, TX; Plano, TX; Tampa, FL; or Dorado, Puerto Rico
