The Role

The Key Account Manager (KAM) is responsible for maintaining and cultivating relationships with customers across the country through constant interaction and communication (inside sales). The KAM will engage customers in printed material (glossy flyers, publications, direct mail, brochures, etc.). The KAM will introduce new products, explain the benefits of current products, process product quotes, and provide only the highest quality of customer service.

The KAM is responsible for successfully managing daily print jobs from start to finish, working to make sure orders, art files and delivery dates are set up properly for a successful outcome. This is accomplished via daily interactions with clients as well as internal coordination with Production, Purchasing & Pre-Press personnel, according to established workflow procedures.

  • Consulting with customers about products and services.
  • Helping to provide solutions to customer pain points.
  • Putting yourself in the customer’s shoes.
  • Communicating new products, ideas, and promotions to customers.
  • Gathering and sharing customer testimonials.


A typical day may include

  • Checking in with clients on current orders.
  • Quoting new projects for current accounts.
  • Resolving customer questions or concerns.
  • Processing and preparing print and direct mail jobs for production by working with clients to correctly submit orders and files for pre-press & production.
Requirements

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate has the ability to relate to others, communicate effectively, and is organized. They enjoy working with others and can prioritize a large workload.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Superior customer service skills, including responsiveness and accountability to meeting clients' requests
  • Capability to establish and maintain professional rapport with clients and team members
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize workload, manage simultaneous tasks, and meet deadlines within a changing fast-paced environment
  • Exhibit an outstanding attitude, willingness to learn and develop, and excellent teamwork
  • Manage time appropriately to ensure deadlines are consistently met and allow participation in department/ team meetings
  • Knowledge of Adobe design suite helpful, but not required. (This can be learned in the job.)
  • Meticulous attention to detail

Requirements

  • Indiana Resident for occasional on-site meetings
  • At least 2 years Sales/Customer Service Experience or Bachelor’s Degree
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Positive Attitude and Strong Work Ethic
  • Ability to multi-task multiple items in one day, such as multiple jobs, quotes or other projects
  • Superior time management, prioritization and organizational skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially in regard to customer correspondence
  • Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Acrobat Pro strongly preferred
  • Graphic design knowledge helpful, but not required
