Overview

An active, fun-loving family in Greenwich, CT is seeking a full-time, live-out Nanny/Family Assistant to care for their three (soon to be four) children. The children are currently 8, 6, and 3 years old, with a new baby expected in October. The ideal candidate is flexible, warm, proactive, and confident caring for multiple children in a dynamic household. This is a collaborative role—Mom is hands-on and works out of the home on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and a second nanny will assist on those days.

The position guarantees 45 hours per week, with the possibility of schedule adjustments as the family's needs evolve, especially in Spring 2026.

Starting Schedule:

  • Monday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 12:30 PM – 8:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 11:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Thursday: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Friday: 11:00 AM – 5:30 PM

Responsibilities

Nanny Duties:

  • Provide a safe, loving, and engaging environment for the children.
  • Actively engage in fun and creative play with kids of different ages. 
  • Primary care for the baby and 3-year-old; support older children with school pick-ups and activities.
  • Plan and facilitate age-appropriate developmental activities, outings, and playdates.
  • Assist with after-school routines, homework, dinner prep, and bedtime.
  • Manage children’s laundry and help maintain tidy and organized spaces.
  • Encourage independence and support age-appropriate skills.
  • Prepare nutritious meals and snacks for the children.
  • Coordinate nap and meal schedules and plan daily routines.
  • School drop-offs/pick-ups and transportation to extracurricular activities.

Family Assistant Duties (as time allows):

  • Run errands and manage grocery shopping.
  • Keep household stocked with essential supplies.
  • Schedule and manage children's appointments.
  • Step in to assist wherever needed around the home.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional nanny experience.
  • Experience with both babies and school-aged children.
  • Confident caring for 3 or more children.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Positive, proactive, and adaptable.
  • Organized, responsible, and trustworthy.
  • Comfortable working alongside an involved parent and household staff.

Experience driving larger vehicles is preferred.

Requirements

  • Legal to work in the U.S.
  • CPR and First Aid certified.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license (family provides a large Suburban for work use).
  • Comfortable around water and a confident swimmer.
  • Previously MMR and Tdap vaccinated while staying up to date on flu vaccine.
  • Flexible and open to occasional changes in schedule.

Salary and Benefits

  • $40+/hour, depending on experience
