The Inventory Clerk is responsible for maintaining and updating records, counting materials, equipment, merchandise or supplies in stock, and reporting discrepancies between physical counts and computer records.
Duties and Responsibilities
The Inventory Clerk’s duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
- Maintaining and updating records
- Counting materials, equipment, merchandise or supplies in stock
- Creating purchase orders
- Inventory update reporting to Management and assigned staff
- Receiving of all shipments and returns (as guided)
- Reporting discrepancies between physical counts and computer records
- Distributing or stocking merchandise
- Receive and inventory stocking
- Other various tasks as assigned
- Proven work experience as an Inventory Clerk or similar role
- Excellent math and analytical skill
- Physical strength to lift items
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Forklift experience beneficial
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
