Overview:

Addison Group is seeking an experienced and proactive HR Manager to lead the human resources function for our client’s Baltimore location. The ideal candidate is hands-on, energetic, and thrives in fast-paced, industrial environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the on-site HR leader, managing a small HR team and acting as the primary point of contact for all HR-related functions.
  • Support full-cycle recruiting, onboarding, and employee development initiatives.
  • Drive employee engagement and retention strategies across the site.
  • Oversee employee relations, conflict resolution, and sensitive employee matters with discretion.
  • Implement and improve HR processes and procedures to support business needs.
  • Coordinate new hire orientations and ensure timely and accurate completion of paperwork, compliance forms, and benefits enrollment.
  • Work closely with leadership on organizational planning and performance management.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HRIS documentation.
  • Collaborate with site safety personnel to support workplace safety initiatives.
  • Travel to corporate HQ periodically for leadership meetings.


What We’re Looking For:

Experience & Skills:

  • 5+ years of hands-on HR experience, preferably in a generalist role.
  • Prior leadership experience or readiness to lead a team is essential.
  • Exposure to warehouse, manufacturing, or similar environments is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to navigate and influence within fast-moving, high-turnover settings.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with HR systems like UKG, ADP, Kronos, or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Comfortable handling sensitive employee relations and making independent decisions.
  • Must be an outgoing, confident professional ready to take initiative and own the HR function.

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
  • SHRM or PHR certification is a plus.


Role Details:

  • Compensation: $65,000–$80,000 / Yearly / depending on experience.
  • Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday–Friday.
  • Location: On-site in Baltimore, MD.
