HN281 - Full-Time Live-Out Nanny - Malibu, CA

Overview

A very kind family in Beverly Hills is seeking a full-time live-out nanny for their 1-year-old son. The family lost their home in the fire a month ago, but they are rebuilding. During the rebuilding they were staying at a Malibu beach house, but got evacuated so currently in Beverly Hills until they can go back to the Malibu beach house which should be late January. They have 3 children ages 12, 10, and 1-years-old, but the care is just for the 1-year-old. The proposed schedule is Tuesday through Saturday 9am-5/6pm with some flexibility for date nights. Start date is as soon as possible.

Responsibilities

• Driving the child as needed
• Comfortable working alongside the Mother who is present during the day but sometimes pops out here and there (she won't shadow the nanny, but is a present stay-at-home Mother)
• Clean the child's dishes
• Making the child balanced and well-rounded meals, not just heat up frozen things, but can cook for the child (he has a lactose allergy)
• Do the child's laundry
• Follow the child's physical therapist's instructions and collaborate with the Mother regarding care for the child's developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH) commonly known as hip dysplasia–he used to be in a brace but is no longer, he is not yet crawling or walking

Qualifications

• A candidate who is kind, supple to feedback, and appreciates a teamwork environment; someone with a mentality of "my way or the highway" is not desired for this role. Patience is key given the child's hip dysplasia as is working in collaboration with physical therapist and Mother
• Experienced with children of this age and with hip dysplasia is greatly desired
• They have a longtime housekeeper and want the nanny to work alongside well with them, no attitude or unkindness
• A candidate who is confident in what they are doing and the Mother feels assured leaving her child with
• Bonus if the nanny speaks Spanish or Tagalog

Requirements

• A candidate who currently resides in LA
• Comfortable with 2 big dogs and 1 small dog (Bulldog mix, Great Pyrenees, and a Goldendoodle)
• Flexible with the schedule, I.E., staying an extra hour if needed and being okay with this
