Head of Sales is a leadership role in charge of driving and implementing Apex’ KSA growth strategy. Working closely with ME Sales, CRM and Marketing, the Head of Sales is a recognized industry leader, well networked and an effective presenter, representing Apex externally and internally.

The Head of Sales is a key role in growing Apex top line revenues.

The Role & Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Development

  • Responsible for the development of the pipeline for the KSA markets, working in collaboration with all other Sales, CRM, Client Services and Product team.
  • Key responsibility for sourcing and developing relationships with client prospects, securing and leading pitches and winning new business.
  • Market the Apex Single-Source solution with a view to deepening the network and securing referrals.
  • Identifies and communicate USP including consideration of any jurisdictional context and positioning.
  • Prepare and review accurate and compelling proposals for prospects while ensuring a broad coverage of Apex’s single-source solution. Ensure timely and constant follow up for proposals sent.
  • Key responsibility of securing and executing an intermediary / referrer plan, attending meetings and securing referrals of new business.
  • Update Salesforce with all meetings, targets identified, events. Ensures accurate and active maintenance of pipeline on Salesforce and attend the Sales calls to provide briefings.
  • Travel as required to the relevant jurisdictions to meet with intermediaries and prospects.
  • Assist with event organization, marketing strategy, thought leadership, market intelligence.
  • Ensure all local marketing information is up to date and in line with Group guidance.
  • Collaborates with other internal counterparties to identify and follow up on cross selling opportunities in order to assist with cross selling sales targets.
  • Monitors market developments and assess the viability and opportunity of expanding the product or services.

2. Client Service

  • Oversee the launch and integration of new client relationships and new structures for key clients.
  • Maintain key client relationships both existing and new relationships by performing a client relationship director role as may be instructed.
  • Maintain client board positions and take further key positions for key clients as required.

3. Operational Performance

  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws, service standards, company policies and procedures and agreed operational and control processes.
  • Ensures that all client related fiduciary and administrative duties are undertaken in a timely and effective basis.

4. Financial Performance

  • Work to deliver the sales target. Targets to be reviewed annually.
  • Overall responsibility for driving and delivering the pipeline conversion.

5. Leadership and Talent Management

  • Provides leadership and management guidance which mirrors the organizational vision and values.
  • Set standard for professionalism through exemplary conduct and teamwork at all times to develop the same in others.
  • Ensures professional development plan is in place for self and any subordinates with clear understanding of roles and responsibilities.
