Your opportunity:
As an Exterior Engineer Yachtbuilding, you’ll join the most creative department responsible for designing and engineering unique exterior features such as masts, swimming pools, sliding doors, hatches, and other custom elements. Using AutoCAD and Siemens NX, you’ll prepare 3D models, define materials and production techniques, and ensure that all outfitting components and systems from subcontractors are properly integrated into the vessel’s overall design—ready for seamless production.Exterior Engineer Yachtbuilding
What you will do:
- Contributing to the overall detail design of the Outfitting and Exterior parts of a superyacht
- Designing and engineering unique exterior features such as masts, sliding doors, swimming pools, and hatches
- Checking the 3D models, calculations, sketches, drawings, and technical specifications
- Integrating and verifying subcontractor and supplier systems to ensure complete vessel fit and function
- Resolving complex technical issues within the design team and/or between design and production
- Ensuring alignment with classification rules and regulations such as Lloyd's and Large Yacht Code
- Actively cooperating with the other disciplines in the execution of the tasks, to ensure a smooth information flow
- Supporting the production team with solving problems
- Communicating with external parties and customers

What you already have:
- +2 years of experience in the Outfitting department within the yacht building sector
- Strong sense of esthetics in design
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and Siemens NX
- Flexible approach, as you will work in a fast-paced environment with many changes
- Clear and empathetic communication, since you will be working across several departments and project teams
- Excellent communication skills and fluent English, so you can communicate efficiently with your multicultural team
