Event Planner – 18 Month Contract – Finsbury – £45,000 up to £47,000 pa

Our client is a large global technology organisation who require an experienced, passionate and collaborative Event Planner to provide operational event support. In collaboration with the London Program Manager and our worldwide team, this individual will plan and deliver events for both internal and external users and oversee the day-to-day execution of events. It is a fast-paced role that will engage with senior level positions within the company and with their partners and the developer community. This is a unique opportunity to work as part of an energetic and dedicated team and provides a front row seat in an exciting group which is in growth mode.

Responsibilities:

* Ability to pre-plan and execute event logistics (including working with event owners on set-up specifications, catering and any additional needs)
* Manage relationships with external communities and develop curated events and partnerships.
* Event execution (from A-Z). As well as managing event coordinators, you’re happy to roll-up your sleeves to support events, especially when we have multiple things happening at any one time.
* Manage key relationships with the program’s stakeholders.
* Highly organized with a keen eye for detail, ready to design, organize and manage inter-connected projects.
* Build connections internally and externally whilst leveraging other key initiatives to maximize impact.
* Ability to work across all levels within the organization from vendor staff to executive management.
* Drive for results – working closely with the Program Manager, you will have broad responsibility ranging from strategic thinking to tactical planning for local operations and execution.
* Independent judgement and decision-making. Your success will require you to exercise these competencies and to be willing to be held accountable for success and results.
* Planning, Organizing, and Executing – you should enjoy and be effective while running multiple work streams with different cadences and stakeholders.

Requirements:

* Event or facility manager experience
* Stakeholder management
* Ability and desire to work with event owners to ensure all details of events are accounted for
* A demonstrated interest in technology, startups, and corporate innovation
* Thorough understanding of project/program/event management techniques and methods
* Team player with great interpersonal skills
* People’s person
* Detail oriented, fast learner, independent and a natural problem solver
