Equipment Mechanic
Job Description:
We are seeking a mechanically inclined person to perform maintenance & repairs on a variety of janitorial equipment (ATLV’s, Green Machines, John Deer’s, Cub Cadet, Pressure Washers, etc.)
Must have 2-3 yrs experience
Must Have Valid Driver’s License
40hrs a week 6:00am to 2:30pm (with some overtime required)
(Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday)
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Must have prior experience in managing standard operating procedures
Demonstrated ability to operate equipment and follow instructions
Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on all janitorial equipment on site
Maintain logs or records on all equipment serviced
Make sure all vehicles and gas cans used for equipment at work site are filled
Must be able to drive F-150 Extend Cab Pickup Trucks & Transit Vans, etc.
Must be able to drive pickup truck with trailer attached to pick up equipment
Must be able to drive to vendors & suppliers to pick up parts and/or equipment used on work site
Must have some Forklift experience to help unload equipment or supplies from vendors, if needed. Forklift Certification preferred
Must maintain check list of all vehicle inspections & maintenance work
Must maintain monthly record of vehicles conditions
Replace worn or defective parts such as fuses, belts, hoses, wheels, switches, filters, brushes
Must notify the office of all parts needed to order all equipment
Must maintain inventory records
Must be able to help transport employees, if needed
