What’s the Role Seeking a passionate Elementary General Education Teacher to provide engaging, standards-based instruction using Responsive Classroom techniques, monitor student progress, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices. What You’ll Do • Uphold a strong commitment to all students, believing in their potential and maintaining high academic standards • Engage in continuous professional growth through self-reflection and receptiveness to feedback • Develop quality lesson plans aligned with Common Core standards • Regularly analyze assessment data to inform instructional decisions • Create an inviting classroom environment that maximizes learning and utilizes varied instructional techniques • Possess deep knowledge and passion for your instructional subject area • Demonstrate previous student achievement growth • Collaborate with faculty and instructional leaders to ensure curriculum coherence • Build meaningful relationships with families through ongoing communication • Bring energy and enthusiasm to working with students and staff • Exhibit a solutions-oriented approach and flexible thinking Who You Are • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required; Master’s degree a plus • K-12 lead teaching experience preferred • Experience in urban, public charter, or Title I schools advantageous • Holding or working toward NY teacher certification is a plus • Exceptional oral and written communication skills • Legally authorized to work in the USA Our Commitment We strive to build a diverse team that reflects the communities we serve.
