Electrical Engineer

Specific position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• The engineer will work closely with senior engineers and project managers to generate drawings and specifications for electrical systems such as:
• Electrical power distribution systems (typically 120-480V)
• Emergency and standby generators systems
• Lighting designs including layouts, controls and emergency lighting
• Fire alarm initiation and notification systems
• IT & Telephone system layouts
• Other special systems such as access control and security systems
• The role will additionally be responsible for coordinating physical space constrains with other disciplines such as architectural, mechanical, plumbing, structural and fire protection.
• The role will have the opportunity to learn local and national standards and codes while implementing designs (such as NEC and other NFPA codes).
• It is anticipated that the engineer will quickly adapt to the role and will become a key player in working with clients and end users.

Desired Skills and Experience Qualifications: 

• 4 year accredited degree in Electrical Engineering; PE candidates will be given strong preference.
• 3-7 years’ experience.
• Desire to quickly learn Autodesk Revit & AutoCAD.
• Strong problem solving skills and efficient working habits.
