The Electrical Designer (EOI) role focuses on delivering complex offshore FEED for upstream projects for a high-profile client within Wood’s Oil, Gas & New Energies business. The position operates within multidisciplinary teams to realize competitive, achievable, and serviceable solutions, generating Production Information and Technical Product Documentation. The designer applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to adapt and modify designs to resolve arising technical problems, participates in formal and informal design reviews, contributes to engineering changes, and executes the design process to meet project, product, and program plans. Responsibilities include creating designs that meet specifications within defined project constraints; producing adequate Product Information/Technical Product Documentation to qualify, integrate, produce, and test products; and collecting and analyzing information to provide timely reporting to users and management, enabling required actions. The role aligns with Wood’s market-leading delivery across upstream and midstream, onshore and offshore, gas-to-liquids, decarbonisation, and electrification markets, supporting steady, predictable delivery on meaningful projects for major energy clients.
