About the job
About the role:
We’re looking for a Director of Strategy & Operations - a startup operator who can bring clarity and
execution discipline to fast-growing teams, drive cross-functional alignment, and scale systems that
actually work. You’ll sit at the intersection of strategy, ops, and product, leading key initiatives that move
the business forward - from improving sales-to-onboarding flows to optimizing our care and claims
operations. This is a builder’s role. You’ll be hands-on in diagnosing bottlenecks, designing scalable
processes, and driving measurable impact on growth, efficiency, and profitability.
What you will do:
1. Build and Scale Core Systems
• Redesign workflows across Sales, Ops, and Care to remove friction and increase throughput.
• Drive automation and tool adoption across teams to improve accuracy and turnaround times.
• Create repeatable playbooks for key business processes as we scale from thousands to millions of
covered lives.
2. Lead Cross-Functional Initiatives
• Run company-wide programs that cut across business lines — from new product launches to cost
optimization and customer experience initiatives.
• Be the go-to person for execution clarity — aligning teams, setting clear metrics, and ensuring
momentum.
• Partner closely with Product and Tech to translate business needs into scalable tools.
3. Operational Excellence
• Define and track key performance metrics (TATs, retention, margin, NPS, etc.) across verticals.
• Build the operating cadence — reviews, dashboards, reporting rhythms — to keep teams
accountable.
• Identify and eliminate waste in processes using Lean / continuous improvement methods.
4. Strategic Projects
• Lead short-term, high-impact projects directly sponsored by the CEO or COO.
• Analyse performance drivers, run experiments, and recommend where to double down.
• Support fundraising, board discussions, and strategic planning through data-backed insights.
What we are looking for:
• 8–12 years of experience in strategy, ops, product, or business leadership roles at high-growth
startups (fintech, health tech, or ops-heavy businesses preferred).
• Have scaled or rebuilt a core business function before — whether it’s supply ops, CX, or go-to-
market.
• Think in systems, not silos — you enjoy connecting dots across functions and making things
flow.
• Are analytical and execution-focused — equally comfortable in spreadsheets and on the floor
with teams.
• Have an engineering background and you love to solve hard problems.
Why Loop:
• Mission that matters: Redefine how healthcare works for millions of Indians.
• Autonomy & Impact: Direct access to leadership and ownership of high-stakes initiatives.
• Startup pace, grown-up problems: Work on challenges that combine scale, complexity, and
purpose.
• Culture of builders: Smart, humble teammates who care deeply about doing great work.
