Director of Technology

St. Matthew’s is seeking a highly motivated, passionate, and creative educator and a leader in educational technology to direct all aspects of technology integration. The Director of Technology works with students, teachers, and staff to apply new technology tools and strategies. St. Matthew’s has a thriving technology program and is well known for its technology integration and innovative programs.  In recent years, the school developed a 1:1 iPad program, three innovation (maker) spaces, and strong project-based learning units.  St. Matthew’s is a destination for hundreds of educators looking to learn about technology integration, maker spaces, and project-based learning.   Desired Candidate Strengths: A clear vision for technology’s role in the educational setting Ability to lead and work well with colleagues in a team environment Experience and interest in working with students Strong communications skills to act as spokesperson for the technology program to Trustees, parents, and colleagues Strong organizational skills Seeker of emerging technologies and their potential for impacting the learning environment   Responsibilities include: Oversee all technology initiatives related to hardware, software, network resources Design and implement professional development related to technology integration Oversee data systems for student and family records Oversee and manage systems related to student grades and reporting Oversee technology budget Manage 1:1 iPad program in the Upper School Manage and teach in the innovation spaces GSuite Domain Administrator Design and manage various school related sites Support teachers in the integration of technology tools Support office staff in the use of technology Being a member of the Senior Administrative team   ___________________________________________   Please direct inquiries to: Juana Ochoa, Director of Human Resources at jochoa@smps.net
